In 1953, Cornelis Johannes van Waas founded the company C.J. van Waas, which was later renamed Econtras Insulation. Cornelis Johannes’ son-in-law, Paul Roodenburg, took over the company in 1998 together with his wife Jenny.
Today, Paul’s son, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law also work at the company.
Rami BV was founded on Korenaar-dwarsstraat in Rotterdam by the Van Waas brothers.
The brothers each went their own way, and Cees van Waas opened his own insulation company, C.J. van Waas BV, on Albert Engelmanstraat in Rotterdam.
After the passing of Cees van Waas, the company was taken over by, among others, B.A. Simons.
C.J. van Waas BV moved to Riekeroord in Rotterdam.
After 23 years of providing leadership, quality, and service, B.A. Simons decided to transfer the company to his two sons, Peter and Fred Simons, and his son-in-law, Paul Roodenburg.
Due to both internal and external growth, the need arose to move to a newer and larger location in Barendrecht.
